The Juicy Tomatoes

"There’s something about a bright, heavy tomato that just begs to be painted. I used watercolors on cold press paper to capture that deep, juicy red, letting the natural texture of the paper give the skin its life. Once the paint settled, I went back in with ink pen to pull out the fine details and sharp lines. It started as a design for a shell, but the colors turned out so vibrant that it needed its own frame. It’s a simple subject, but seeing it come together by my own hand made me realize exactly why I traded digital tools for a real brush."

My paintings are sold as prints or the original is added when it is available and are all sold in natural wood frames and covered with glass. 

Each print comes signed and numbered from 1-20 as only 20 will be produced.
